UPDATE 6/6/19: This event has been postponed due to the weather forecast. We will set a new date soon! The market is still open today.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday for an incredible Opening Day! The cool and rainy spring has delayed the growing season a bit so please keep in mind that the abundance of produce will continue to increase every week.

This coming Sunday, we will be hosting our annual Safety Day at the market. Swampscott Police, Fire & Ambulance will be joining us. Bring the kids along to meet their local heroes and check out the vehicles.

Halloween Costume Parade & Last Market!

This Sunday, October 28th will be our last regular market of the season. To celebrate, we will be hosting our annual kids Halloween costume parade. The parade will begin at 11am on the town hall lawn.

We will be having our annual indoor Thanksgiving market at the Swampscott High School on Sunday November 18th. We will be posting more details about the vendors joining us soon!

Halloween & Touch A Truck at the Farmer’s Market!

Sadly, we’ve reached the end of our outdoor market season. This Sunday, October 29th will be our last outdoor market of the season. We want to thank everyone for a fantastic year! We’ve had a lot of great feedback on the new location and we appreciate you sticking with us while we work out the kinks of getting settled in a new location.

We’re looking forward to our annual Halloween celebration at the market this weekend. We will be holding the kid’s Halloween Costume Parade starting at 11:00 AM. Goody bags will be provided to all those that participate.

In addition to our Halloween parade, we will be holding a touch-a-truck event for the kids!

We hope to see you there!

Please stay tuned for more information on our Annual Indoor Thanksgiving market which will be held on Sunday November 19th this year.

It looks like we have another beautiful day in the forecast for Sunday, we look forward to seeing everyone at the market!

We will have National Sharpening at the market this weekend so bring down those dull kitchen knives to get them sharpened. There’s nothing like trying to cut a fresh Farmer’s Market tomato with a dull knife.

For music we will be featuring the talented Molly Pinto Madigan.

Our kid’s craft will be making red, white & blue bracelets & necklaces. We will have corn hole & giant jenga for the whole family to play.

Halloween Kid’s Craft This Weekend! 10-23-16

There are only 2 regular markets left of the season, make sure you get out there to stock up on goods from all of your favorite vendors.

Stop by Mia’s House of Sweets to get your French Breakfast Puff fix. She’ll also have Pumpkin Oat Scones and Hermits – an old time favorite!

Arrowhead Farm will have Bacon, Ham Steaks, Bacon, Sausage, and more Bacon. Heirloom Apple Jam and plenty of Greens.

It was great to see all of the kids at the market last weekend decorating their pumpkins. This week we’ll be doing another Halloween-themed craft making Tootsie Roll Pop Spiders!

Mark your calendars for next week (October 30th), we’ll be closing out the season with a great market and a Halloween Costume Parade for the kids. Follow our website & facebook page for more details.

We will also have more details about our annual Indoor Thanksgiving Market coming soon! As always we’ll have it the Sunday before Thanksgiving so you can stock up on fall produce, farm fresh turkeys and fresh baked pies.

Due to the rain last weekend, we decided to reschedule our Pumpkin Decorating craft event to this weekend. We will have free pumpkins available to the first 40 kids. Feel free to bring your own pumpkins to decorate as well!

The weather is looking to be gorgeous on Sunday, we’ll have some live music as well as a vibrant array of produce & goods from our vendors. Grant Family Farm will have fresh chicken available this weekend so be sure to stop by & pick up something fresh for dinner.

Pumpkin Decorating at the Farmer’s Market 10-9

This weekend at the Farmer’s Market we’ll have a Pumpkin Decorating craft event for the kid’s. Pumpkins will be available to the first 40 kids, feel free to bring your own pumpkins to decorate as well!

In addition to this, Mia’s House of Sweets will be bringing more fall-inspired treats like Chocolate Pumpkin Bread, Applesauce Bread and more Apple Pie Spice French Breakfast Puffs. She sold out last week so come early to get yours!

Arrowhead Farm will have thick-cut Yorkshire Heritage breed pork chops. They will also have Heirloom Apple and Apple Pie Jam made with their own no-spray fruit and certified organic sugar.

Long Hill Orchard will have broccoli, leeks, butternut, delicata & spaghetti squash, garlic, macouns, cortlands, macs, galas and much more!

We have a big market planned for you this weekend! Our vendors are bringing out all the stops and as we mentioned before, we will have Bambolina joining us with their wood-fired pizzas. Here are some highlights from our vendors:

Mia’s House of Sweets will be celebrating Christmas in July with Cookie and Fudge Assortments, Candy Cane Cupcakes and more! Come enjoy some holiday treats (without all the holiday stress)!

Arrowhead Family Farm will have Heritage Jersey Breed Beef Patties in four packs. The very best flavored beef you’ve ever eaten! Plus they will have the biggest, plumpest, sweetest blueberries of the season. This is the last week for green garlic scapes so get them while they last!

Lanni Orchards will have a great selection of fresh-picked broccoli on sale. They also have swisschard, kale, onions and much more, all picked freshly the morning of the market!

Our musician this week will be Paul Harty. Our civic booths will be For the Love of Swampscott & the Boy Scouts.

Pumpkin Decorating this Weekend!

It looks like it’s going to be a cold one this weekend but that shouldn’t stop us New Englanders! Let’s get out there and take advantage of the fantastic items the farmers have this time of year. Warm up with some hot coffee & an apple cider donut and then pick up some squash to roast up for dinner and fresh fish or meat.

This weekend we’ll be doing pumpkin decorating with the kids as part of our October Halloweenfest celebration. We will be supplying all of the materials although you are welcome to bring your own pumpkin to decorate as well.
