We have another great market planned for this weekend! Remember that the market is open rain or shine!

Make sure you place your orders for Grant Farm’s whole and half pasture raised chickens. Place your order online here and pick up at the market on Sunday. The chickens are fresh, raised in small groups and only fed a certified organic ration, never any antibiotics, hormones or GMO feed.

Clark Farm will have a limited quantity of their own outdoor grown artisan cherry & heirloom tomatoes. Specials this week include Kohlrabi (99 cents each) and Yellow Summer Squash (79 cents a pound).

SFM-Bambolina

Bambolina had such success last week that they’ve agreed to come back this weekend to fire up more pizzas for everyone. If you missed it, make sure you stop by and try one of their made-to-order neapolitan style pizzas made in their mobile wood-fired oven.

Whole Foods Swampscott will also be joining us this weekend for a cooking demo. Stop by their booth to sample some delicious seasonal food and pick up a new recipe idea while you’re at it!

For crafters this weekend you’ll find Dave Matthews Pottery, Silk Flowers by Betty Ann along with Nurture Massage & Wellness.

Looking for Volunteers!

2016VolunteersNeeded
The crocuses are starting to bloom and the smell of spring is in the air! The Farmer’s Market team is starting to gear up for the 2016 market season.  We’re looking to add more community volunteers to the committee this year if you’re interested in getting involved and helping us run and continue to grow this vibrant market. You can be involved as much or as little as you’d like, we are always happy to add new members to the planning committee but we’re also looking for volunteers to work a few markets throughout the summer. It’s a great way to get involved and give back to the community!

Our first meeting will be March 28th, please send us a quick note if you’re interested and we’ll send you more information on the time & location.

Halloweenfest At the Farmer’s Market!

SFM-HalloweenFest

Starting this Sunday, September 27th and every Sunday up until our last outdoor market on October 25th, we’ll be celebrating October with weekly crafts for the kids. This weekend we’ll be making spooky themed wind chimes!

SAVE THE DATE!
Sunday October 25th we’ll be holding our 2nd annual Halloween Costume Parade at the market to celebrate the end of the season. Give the kids another reason to show off their costumes, as if they aren’t already wearing them every day in the house.  We’ll also have fun family activities planned that day.

SFM-Gourds

The market is booming this time of year with tables overflowing with apples, pumpkins, squash, apple cider donuts and much more. We only have a few weeks left so enjoy it while you can!
