**2020 Market Updates**

We appreciate your patronage this year and your support of our local farmers and vendors! We have decided to open the market to include few craft vendors each week, we will be listing our full vendor list on our website each week. Please read below for a few other updates and notices.

DOGS:
Dogs will be allowed at the market again, please keep them on-leash and under control and of course, please pick up after them as necessary.

REUSABLE BAGS:
You may bring your own reusable bags to the market. Vendors will not be handling them but you may use it to place your own items in.

MARKET ENTRANCE/EXIT:
There will continue to be one entrance and one exit for the market, they are both on the end of the market closest to the church & traffic circle. Per the board of health, we are only allowed to have a certain number of customers at any one time. Please do not enter or exit the market under the yellow caution tape. This causes our counting to be off and may mean that your fellow community members will be waiting in line unnecessarily. We would greatly appreciate if you complete your shopping as quickly as possible and then exit the market to allow other customers to enter the market. We appreciate your patience as we know there have been lines many days.

MARKET DATES:
As of now, the market will be running through October, our last day is scheduled to be Sunday October 25th. Should any adjustments be made, we will post an update on our website & Facebook.

THANK YOU!

Opening Day! Sunday July 5th, 2020

Opening day will be Sunday, July 5 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The market will look a little different this year in an effort to keep our vendors & patrons safe. Please read the new guidelines below before visiting the market. We look forward to seeing you!

  • The market will be limited to farm and food vendors and we can have no more than 15 vendors on any Sunday.
  • There will be farm and food vendors only, no craft or civic vendors at this time
  • There will be a designated entrance and exit to the market area and market staff will be monitoring the number of people in the market area
  • We cannot allow entry into the market from other parts of the lawn.  Yellow caution tape will be put up to indicate areas where entry is not allowed
  • We can have a maximum of 70 people in the market area at anyone time.  Once we reach 70 people, market staff will need to pause further entries until we get below 70 people.
  • All customers will need to enter the market through the designated entrance
  • If a line forms, customers should line up 6 feet apart to provide social distancing space
  • Masks are mandatory.  Customers need to be wearing a mask in the market area at all times
  • At this time pets are not allowed in the market area
  • The farm and food vendors have safety protocols and practices in place.  Please follow and respect their instructions as you visit their tents and stands.

2020 Market Update

**ANNOUNCEMENT** The opening of the Swampscott Farmers Market will be delayed this year. We will be posting soon to announce our opening day which will likely be the beginning of July.

In order to comply with state, town, and local farmers market best practices in the current COVID-19 situation, the market will host up to 15 local farm and food vendors. We are working with these vendors now on safety precautions, a new market layout, market preorders, and other important details that will allow us to start the season safely.

Watch this space for more information in the coming weeks. We have a lot of logistical work to do to ensure a safe market for all and we will pass that information on as we sort out all the details.
