We would like to thank all of you who came out for the chef throwdown last weekend, it was truly a fantastic day! The sun was shining, people were smiling and best of all, the chefs were cooking up some amazing dishes.
We would like to thank our talented judges for taking on the (oh-so-tough) job of tasting these three gourmet dishes and making the hard decision of who would come out on top.
Most of all, we would like to thank the three local chefs who donated their time and supplies to create a truly special day!
Lobster was the secret ingredient and all three chefs came up with truly unique ways of presenting the ingredient using the fresh local produce from the market. We hope you were one of the lucky ones who got to taste a sample of one of the dishes, all three of them were out of this world!
Coming out on top was chef Barry Edelman from Five Corners Kitchen in Marblehead.
His dish was pan roasted lobster with creamed leeks & basil, corn, grilled romaine, fennel, caramelized cauliflower and radish in a white miso & potato vinaigrette.
We hope to see you at the market again this week! Thank you for your continued support!
